We define the best strategy to transplant MSCs or MSC-derived chondrocytes in combination with biodegradable scaffolds, matrices or microcarriers binding appropriate factors. We also develop strategies to prevent, in models of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) or osteoarthritis (OA), the cell damage due to the inflammation process and the rejection of the graft by immune cells.
